Minoosh rolls her red river cart around in search of the perfect campsite. Will she find a campsite? What does Minoosh have in store for her camping trip, and what does it have in store for Minoosh?
This is a story about a cat who goes camping and finds a friend in a funny place. It includes jigging, moving panoramas, shadow puppets, a red river cart and lots of theatre fun and magic.
The show is a silly and mostly silent adventure meaning the characters do not speak EXCEPT the narrator who speaks only IN SOUTHERN MICHIF! You don't need to know any language at all to enjoy the show, but you might pick up some Michif before you leave.

Minoosh
Charlene (she/her/char) is a Michif/Belgian/Canadian theatre artist, Artistic Producer of Echo Theatre, actor, director, and dancer.
Charlene’s theatre interests are many and she loves to play and learn! You may have seen her as the non-singing co-lead in the opera Li Keur: Riel's Heart of The North. Or perhaps in the past at Winnipeg Fringe Festival, Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, Shakespeare In The Ruins, or in the way back Prairie Theatre Exchange Munsch shows!
Recent work with Southern Michif language has sprouted shows for young audiences: Minoosh Doo-Kapeeshiw (about a cat who goes camping), and with the Southern Michif Performers a play in development called Doo-Pashkishok Lii Padrii (about acquiring tasty partridges for dinner).

With a multi-faceted and distinct style, jaymez (he / him) has been working in the visual art, dance, theatre and music communities for well over a decade. He has created lighting, video and sound designs for a wide and diverse range of companies, choreographers and musicians. He has designed internationally and his work has appeared in theatre, dance and art festivals worldwide. He is currently based in Winnipeg, Canada and sits on the board of directors for IATSE Local ADC659. rt bio for each team member.
